Two more people are now in custody related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to police.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.
The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, two women were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A toddler aged three was among the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and were later discharged.
Police arrested a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Police were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several individuals hurt by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.
The assault - an event that police said was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
